S40Un
Hi, on my 1600 tdci 2006, I can't work out how to save my driving settings to my keys ? its a 7 speed auto , I like to drive with the sports gear changes along with stiffer steering whereas if going for a long drive or my partner uses it, it's better on adaptive gear setting along with steering set to comfort. So I was hoping to save either setting on my 2 keys. i can scan through the settings & choose what I want , save settings to key. ..? Save ... & these settings stay for the time the car is on. However if you start the car straight back up after previous use , the settings have been forgotten. Both keys don't seem to stay saved on either or the same setting . has anyone else had this problem ? thanks Shaun

mjt
I wonder if he's thinking of the MyKey system? That, as far as I know, only became available on the facelifted Mk3. Of course the settings are not actually stored on the keys, they're stored in the ECU and linked to the keys.
S40Un
No , it's not the my key system new fords have that allows parents to restrict their kids in their cars ect lol mines an o6 , you simply use the indicator stalk buttons to scroll through settings on the dash & pick your desired settings. at the end asks me If I want to save to key?.. I select yes but it only saves for that drive & never actually saves to the key . i can take pics of the process if anyone wants to see ? thanks
