Eibach or Mountune springs?

Need some technical help on this guy's.

Is there any difference between the Eibachs and Mountune lowing springs for the 1.0 Fiesta?  I know the mountune ones are made by Eibach but are they the same spec?

I ask these questions because I'm getting conflicting info. The drop is different between them and some people say the mountune give a more forgiving ride.

Any help would be great.

Would also like to throw a question in there...

On Ford parts uk the Eibach springs are £130.50, yet the same ones are on Pumaspeed for £160?

Anyone know why the £30 difference for exactly the same thing?

I'd enquire at your dealership and see if they'll match ford part uk's price. I always enquiry about any discount and usually get offered 20%

Get the Eibach ones Willy, day to day driving is great on them and there Fraud endorsed. Got a good deal from European parts for the springs and spacers last year.

Are the Mountune ones just sprayed yellow Eibach's???

There's usually a meet once a month at Shoreham airport but can't remember when. As for the springs I've fired off an email to Dinnages to see what sort of price there offering. I'll let you know next week.

As for which springs to go for, I'm going down the Eibach route I think and have the new Zetec S shocks installed at the same time.

I have the Eibachs in mine, they make the car feel so much better.  I didn't want to go with the mountune springs because the front drop would have been too much, in my opinion!

Thanks for all your replies and have ordered the Eibachs. They should go nicely with my new shocks.

Thanks Willy, With VAT they're £156 online without postage, so £148 sounds pretty good to me!

I assume that quote was from the Worthing branch?

How much have the eibachs lowered it? The mountune springs probably give the least drop F20/R28 most other are 30-35.

Dropped it 20-20, the Mountune ones are made by Eibach.  Your drop looks the same as mine though!  That silver mountune strip looks really well on the blue!
