Should an impact gun with a max of 550lbs torque loosen a 32mm hub nut

I just wondered as I tried it but no go, the nut's not that rust either ie has been loosened in the year or 2

That'll depend on how tight that nut is and how much breakaway torque is required to shift it

I think it's 550 break torque but will check

Dez....I had it on for about 3 secs and stopped, I think I saw it just start to move but not sure, I'll try later

These Impact guns are !Removed! great though

Have you used a chisel to knock the nut out of the recess? By knocking that out it should come undone easy enough I used to do them with a socket and breaker bar with a piece of scaffold tube. Leverage is usually the key if that fails get a blow torch from a DIY shop and get it red hot.
