Bit of advice please, what are the pros and cons of removing cat and silencer on 1.8 tdci , really think me exhaust system need a bit better nosie, not expecting it to sound like a st/rs. Currently sounds like blowing down a pipe. Has anyone got any videos or links with somebody with both removed

I removed the cat on my 1.6 petrol and it sounded great, I also have the decat manifold for sale but wouldn't be able to tell you if it would fit a diesel.

How do you get it to pass the M.O.T ?

If you empty the cat and weld it up on top how will they see it?

It'll be horrible with a straight through unless you like tractors and droning on the motorway though lol, would keep one box myself.

might just remove silencer then see how it sounds, like you say dont want that tractor sound just want a nice tone on acceleration
