tazzman600
Well after trying to fill up a van I hired today I'm keeping well away from morrisons coz from a simple dead straight filler it took bl**ding ages to fill coz of the foam that was coming out of the nozzle. God knows what they put in their fuel but I reckon you could do the dishes with it.
TomsFocus
Couldn't do your dishes with it, but you could make a nice fry up with all the veg oil in it. On a slightly different note... How much 2 stroke oil are people mixing into a 50 litre tank? Finally got my easyfuel filter out while the boot was empty earlier lol. TomsFocus
Maybe it wasn't this thread lol. Mixing a bit 2stroke in diesel is supposed to help lube the system and give better mpg. I know a few on here do it but I cant find the recommended dosage lol.
alexp999
Never heard of that before. Diesel is a natural lubricant anyway AFAIK.
TomsFocus
It was in the old days before they took all of the sulphur out of it and put bio in... It's now got lubrication additives in but it's not the same, and probably less of those additives in the supermarket stuff as well. It's quite common on other forums with older diesels, should help quieten injectors as well which would be nice. It's worth a try anyway, then I'll make my own decision on it, just need to know how much lol.
tazzman600
Yeah I've read either on here or another ford forum about mixing a dose od 2 stroke oil in ones diesel. As usual there were pros and cons as with everything. Personally I like an octane booster.
LV1
My 1.6 petrol runs the same on most regular fuels > Shell, BP, Sainsburys and Morrisons > give all the same mpg and the car runs exactly the same on each one. I would personally avoid ASDA fuel, had quite poor mpg with that and car didn't seem to like it when it was getting close to E... Tried Shell vpower and had very slightly higher mpg and car run a bit quieter, but costs a lot...
