thisisade
My Ford Focus 2.0 TDCI 2008 keeps cutting out intermittently - has happened 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time it happens, it's as if the ignition key has been removed - interior light comes on, radio goes off, no lights dash. It won't restart straight away, engine doesn't turnover. Usually have to wait about 30 seconds then restarts fine. battery was checked by the RAC after the first time and that was healthy. Any ideas? Thanks Ade
artscot79
you need the fault codes checked otherwise its a stab in the dark anything from a faulty ignition barrell to a pats chip issue to a diesel filter dash cluster fault wiring fault take you're pick really ide suggest a dealer that can look at the fault codes and live data as some codes will appear due to it stalling such as a pats incorrect key code

I'd go with faulty barrel or wiring - if you wiggle the key does it cut out also?
