I have a new Ford Mondeo X which when engine is switched off it starts up again when opening drivers door. I have got know  where in the last six months with sorting this problem out. A service person at the dealers last week actually drove my car after fixing another problem and when he got out of the car after switching it off it started up. I asked him what caused this as I had reported it several times to the sales man who sold me the car and has since left, I was told to look in the hand book. I at this stage gave up after spending £31,000 on my car.

what can I do if the service manager tells me to look in the hand book? Bye bye Ford!

Surely it's under warranty and they have a duty to resolve the issue? They can't deny that it happens as their staff have witnessed it.

Well, did you look in the handbook?

I can't see what the use of starting when opening the door would be, hopefully you don't leave it in gear...
