MK3 2013 1.6TDCI possible owner!

Hi all,
I have seen and test drove a MK3 2013 focus 1.6 Diesel yesterday in stunning condition with 30k on the clock.  Was serviced at 9K, 19K and 29K.
Had a look online and came across a lot of problems with these engines with turbos blowing due to lack of engine oil circulations.
Does anyone know if this problem still exists in the newer engines or should I stay clear of this car?

Thanks

Not had any problems with mine and it's a 2012 model. Think the early versions may have done.

Mine is serviced every year by Ford, and I change the oil & filter 6 monthly between services.

For the sake of £30 tops, it's peace of mind.

Im sure you will have no problems , just keep it serviced and make sure the fuel filter is changed regularly too.

Turbo issues not on mk3, a few injector faults but apart from that they seem ok. As the above post, have the fuel filter changed regular, they dont seem to manage 37.k intervals ford recomend.

That's good news as I like this car! I always service cars regularly, more frequent than recommended. Is it easy to service and replace fuel filter? I service my tdci mondeo and have done so for the past 10 years. That's easy to do! Thanks for your replies.

I've got a 2012 1.6tdci and I too have had no problems. Serviced every 9 mo the due to the mileage I do by ford and I do a service in between so fresh oil and filter every 6000 or so.

Hope you enjoy your new car.

I would like DLR's but ford ones too expensive. I will have a look round to see what's available!

I have the Mk2.5 version and the quality is second to none, whilst you probably can find them much cheaper on ebay quality is always a concern, these guys I can vouch for.
