MaxDee Posted May 10, 2016 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Hi all, I have seen and test drove a MK3 2013 focus 1.6 Diesel yesterday in stunning condition with 30k on the clock. Was serviced at 9K, 19K and 29K. Had a look online and came across a lot of problems with these engines with turbos blowing due to lack of engine oil circulations. drsdriver Posted May 10, 2016 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Not had any problems with mine and it's a 2012 model. Think the early versions may have done. Mine is serviced every year by Ford, and I change the oil & filter 6 monthly between services. For the sake of £30 tops, it's peace of mind. Is it easy to service and replace fuel filter? I service my tdci mondeo and have done so for the past 10 years. That's easy to do! Thanks for your replies. Serviced every 9 mo the due to the mileage I do by ford and I do a service in between so fresh oil and filter every 6000 or so.
