wiseman
Hi, Guys Replaced my Focus [MK1] factory radio for a Sony iso type, purchased the wire harness from the net and made sure it was the correct type, its fitted ok and plays fine but when i turn the ignition off the set doesnt remember the stations i set. i have read the booklet for the new radio and it seems im doing every thing in the correct order, Im thinking along the line of theres a missing permanent live feed needed, is this a issue when fitting a iso radio to the Mk1,
dezwez
do you have red to red and orange to orange if you do connect red to orange and do the same with the other
ScorpionSX
As Dez said above, connect the red to orange (yellow) and vice versa and it should work properly. This was happening to a friend of mine and for the world we couldn't figure it out...then we realized that both of the wires can be reconnected, so we did it and voila! :)
wiseman
thanks guys. the guide you have given was the way the wires were as it was when i removed it from my vauxhall astra, after some digging around the web i took note that the wires on the sony wire harness was red to red yellow to yellow, now im not 100% sure if thats correct but, i changed my wires as per pictures on the web, and every thing seems to be working fine now, the set has made the tones that lets you know the memory is working.. not checked if the car has a flat battery yet
