Kc87
Hi I have this fitted in my mk2 focus on a 55 plate. Its a chinese model but hi spec. The problem i have is it wont fit into a standard double din cage. The front where the screen is is slightly bigger. I had a cage but had to chop it but its not doing its job. I have had to put small bits of wood in the gap between the facia and unit and the do a half hearted carbon wrap on it all just so it looks ok ish while i try and figure it out. Is there a bigger cage u can buy and a facia? Or any help or ideas would be great. Thanks
Stoney871
You haven't fitted a fascia adaptor, the Ford double din dimensions are larger than standard. I recommend an adaptor or an aftermarket true double din fascia. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DFP-07-17-FORD-Focus-2006-On-Double-Din-Car-Stereo-Facia-Fascia-Panel-Plate-/400680579469?hash=item5d4a6c718d:g:W~cAAOSwPcVVjQ67 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Focus-Fiesta-Double-Din-Fascia-Panel-Adapter-Plate-Cage-Fitting-Kit-/370925619087?fits=Car+Make%3AFord|Model%3AFocus&hash=item565ce3c78f:g:kuEAAOSwGotWoBkP
Kc87
Thanks for the reply. The second eBay link the cage and souround is similar to the 1 i have but its too small thats why i had to chop pieces out to make it fit. Am i better going for the full fronted one instead? Stoney871
The first one is a true double din sized fascia rather than an adaptor to make your existing one fit so will be tidier. There are grey and silver ones available on eBay so you can match your trim colour.
