Hi, To be honest, no, can't really help from the information given here.

It might help if you could say:

How many points can this window (normally) be controlled from? Eg door switch, drivers door switch or console, central locking?

Does it fail when operated from all possible points?, or just some.

Is it completely dead, or does it sound as if it is trying to move, or does it move one way (so will try to close even if already closed, say, but not move the other way?

Which bit did you replace, the complete electronic module including the motor in that door, or just part. The door switch could be a suspect, if not tested or changed.

The windows on some of these cars are a bit complex, with multiple electronic modules & buses. The more information you can give, the more likely it is someone can help.

Hi,

it is completely dead. it can be operated from the door itself and the drivers door and central locking. No sign of life from any of these

I bought a complete reconditioned window motor regulator assembly. Still nothing. I changed the passenger door switch, nothing.

Hi,

I have had a look at a wiring diagram. It for Focus 1998-2004, not specifically ST, but should not be too different.

The connections to the window motor module seem to be:

2 = Power from F43 in CJB.

3,4= Control from switches

6 = Control from C/L, remote, timer

7 = Power from F40 in CJB.

8 = Ground (0v)

1,5 = Not referred to (N/C?)

The controls from switches are normally open circuit, and pulled to ground via an unspecified resistor when switch pressed. The local & driver's switches are wired in parallel (just linked together).

This info might enable testing out the module a bit.

Peter.
