garside26779
Hi, first time poster here! I have a 57 reg 1.8 zetec focus manual. We mainly run around town in it, but went on a fair journey today around 100 mile round trip motorway mainly. When we got back I noticed a leak coming from the bottom, not under the engine bay however more around the centre near gearbox area. I would suspect transmission fluid but it was more like water, completely odourless, I would have thought transmission fluid would be oily??? Any ideas? eddie eastwood
Did you use the Air Con? if so more than likely condensation.

Dee_82
Mine takes a little pee when I stop too, if in doubt, give it a little taste, you'll soon work out if its fuel, oil or coolant
garside26779
Thanks everyone, it would make sense, yes the AC has been on lately as its not leaked before, but we havnt had the need to use the AC before. I will keep an eye on it for the rest of the week, I had a bowl under there tonight after she got back and its definitely water. Any other possibilities whilst we are at it? Dee_82
nope! only clear water that comes out of this car is either from the AC or the exhaust, everything else will taste horrible

Russ
Once saw a Vauxhall Insignia 'relieve' itself like a horse in our works car park. It was like a mini river!
