mattware49
Hi Guys. I have a 55 plate focus 1.8tdci with factory fitted parking sensors. The parking sensors don't seem to be working consistently. Occasionally you will hear a very quiet (like you need a dogs hearing to hear) humming/high picked noise. Is there a volume control on it or any suggestions where to start looking on this. Cheers Matt

It goes direct to a little speaker mounted on the door pillar by the rear seat. No volume control I ever found. It started squealing at me all the time when reversing. Faulty sensor, but it was about £100 (or something absurd) for a Ford sensor, so I replaced the whole system with a cheap one (well under £20) off eBay. May not be as sensitive as the original, but I have had no problems with it. Peter.
