Caprinut38
Hi everyone, just bought a mk5 1.8 ghia, really clean solid car, I'll be after a nice interior soon and a set off wheels, but for now I really need to find an internal fuse box, I've been told there's about 10 different types, the number on mine is 94AG14A073BAB If anyone can help, Thanks, Steve

isetta
Mk5 was well known for bad soldering inside fuse box . A friend had his professional resoldered and a year later was playing up again. I had two mk5 cars. Both had problems with fuse box. On both I rewired power to electronic ignition and heated fan bypassing fuse box due to problems. On one I also had to re wire headlamp dip circuit. If you get a replacement you might still suffer problems. If you have problem with one circuit might be best to just rewire that bit.

isetta
There’s a lot going on in the fuse box. You can’t really bypass everything, but if you have one particular circuit playing up it’s easy enough to bypass it. Well I suppose you could bypass everything but it would be extremely long winded. Is it one particular thing not working on yours?
