Hi, I'm new to this forum. I was hoping to get some advice on the XR2i I've just brought. It's a 93 1.8 16V model and I have a hole in the bottom of my petrol tank. I've found some replacement tanks from old Fiestas but they also make brand new ones, should I stick with a proper one and hope it doesn't fall apart in a few months or trust a Paton part? Cheers

Hi I would stick to original new Ford parts that way you get manufacturers guaranty if anything happens to it, plus you guaranteed the screw holes to be in the same place, have you tried looking on eBay for one you could get it cheep on there.

Yeah. It's mainly new tanks from Germany, I'm having no luck finding a good rust free one in England using eBay/internet. I'm gunna keep looking but their not easy to find.
