1.0 Ecoboost Turbo stopped

Hi all,

I was driving my ford focus 2012 1.0 ecoboost focus normally, and all of a sudden the engine management light came on and now the turbo isn't working. The engine seems to be running fine but the turbo isn't working at all, Does anyone have any experience with it or any ideas what the problem is?

could be numerous faults to shut down the turbo.you will need a code reader to find the dtcs to point you or your mechanic to the cause.

I've got it booked in Tuesday with the normal mechanic that looks after my car, Was wondering if it might been another "common" ford fault =(

not really, could be the recirc valve split( rubber valve) or upstream broadband hego sensor if i was to guess.

let us know what the fault was when you get it fixed.

I shall do mate, it's been bit of a jinx car sadly.

Hi guys.

 

Got the car back form the garage, the fault that was logged was "emissions too high from catalytic converter"

The garage completely checked the car over and everything is fine, cleared the fault code and it's been fine since.
