Ah damnit haven't logged on in a while and just saw your message Tom! Yeah went in the evening last night, had a convoy of about 5 cars and a few fords were down there and joined in, maybe you know them! Was a blue Fiesta ST (current model) with the RS spoiler, and also a Focus ST mk3 wrapped in what appeared to be matte grey someone named Josh evidently with his number plate aha.. We parked up along the front to get some food but there was loads of fords going down the far end maybe there was a meet on

First time I've been on the motorway with the new exhaust, got it extra hot and apparently the flames were on point - want to see them for myself!

WARNING : PICTURE HEAVY

Hey all, been a few weeks and have done a few meets and sessions so have quite a few pictures to get through of how the car is looking along with my closest friends, who both own STs as well!

Had a cleaning session..Introducing my friend's Focus ST in a unique wrap colour, it's running dreamscience stage 4+ so looking aound 380 bhp or so... something for me to aspire to, although I'm looking to go with Collins Performance.

20170218_174120 (2).jpg   IMG-20170218-WA0002.jpg

I purchased one of the club stickers and placed it on the front of my splitter, seems to suit quite well. Also pinstriped the front of the splitter in green as a trial just to see how it looked. (at the moment It's been removed as wasn't overly keen without having more green on the car just looked a bit confused, may go back on in future if I get a green collins sunstrip to bring it together etc).

20170218_184952.jpg20170218_185048.jpg

Went to have a little meet with the club we started, went for a good trip down in the evening to Brighton seafront

IMG-20170219-WA0002.jpg  IMG-20170219-WA0003.jpg

IMG-20170219-WA0005.jpg

We also went to Santa Pod for the first time on the 26th Feb.. So i've got some shots from that too but excuse the dirty car!!

Lucky #87.. There was about 7 of us in convoy was a good day out

2017-02-27 08.57.28.jpg

Was a really good day out, big convoy to get there, drag strip style races against my friends it was also a drift day event so there were plenty of kitted out drift style cars which were awesome along with dyno runs being done on the day!

Today I got a few more photos of the car as I cleaned it, and its looking rather stealth at the moment! Got some side wing plates to put on in gloss black to help it further and lose that silver on the side..

Also you may have noticed my grill had fallen out from the bottom of the bumper a little, manage to sort this today and its looking so much smarter now without it all falling off ahah

The new exhaust tips look good in the photos too

All taken on a potato of a camera phone :)

Have also put on an Auto Specialist Polished Chrome Crossover Pipe, need to get some pictures of the engine bay again was just too dark!

To keep you in the loop, this month I will be making my way down to BD performance to start some real work on the car.. it's going to have block mod done along with a chatter package which is full induction (BD group A style) and upgraded recirculation valve (Turbosmart) at the end of the month. This means that the exhaust is almost complete, the induction would be complete and the basis for mapping would be done. Would need to get the RS clutch and Intercooler sorted but is then ready for mapping, maybe a few other parts. Hopefully in the next few months she will be gleaming in performance figures

Couple of updates from the weekend

Removed the steering wheel insert trims which were originally silver, and wrapped them in dark carbon vinyl

20170313_100610.jpg  20170313_095851.jpg

IMG-20170313-WA0002.jpgT

The biggest change I made over the weekend was a new induction kit & filter, I looked further into my requirements for performance gains and the Dream Science CAIS was one of the best rated. My friend's have this kit as well, and it is simply awesome. Provides the best straight direct airflow route, and the sounds that come from it are mega. If it's not a high pitch whistle as you begin boost, it's the cold air being sucked in and then on let off it's started to produce some turbo chatter which sounds lovely. This is soon to be emphasised by an upgraded recirculating valve, but more on that to come later.

IMG-20170310-WA0007.jpg

20170313_115406.jpg  20170313_115453.jpg

20170313_115419.jpg

Got this for a bargain price of £230, and it comes with the RS ECU holder ^ (above) which is about £80 on it's own. Eventually I will change the orange hoses for green to theme my bay again!

Really happy with the induction, 10x better than the K&N gen 2 I had before which was riddled with flat spots and lack of sound.

Got a few more parts to get on, such as this carbon dipped RS ECU holder. I will then resell the ECU Holder that came with the kit.

IMG-20170311-WA0000.jpeg

Will keep you updated!

Just a quick one!

In the effort for more stealth.. decided to tint the indicator lense on my wing mirror, makes a big difference from the original chrome

20170317_135729.jpg

Managed to get some time to clean the car and re applied wax that was overdue, big supporter of ADS Car Care - this is luminos wax

20170317_135834.jpg

Also.. one of the best mods I've done so far.. replaced the sports cat I originally had on (which was actually an RS one I think) with a decat for max flow. It's really worked with the dreamscience induction system meaning im getting much better air flow through and is enabling things like this to happen aha, pictures are from at standstill but been told they are coming out absolutely huge when I take it to high rev just before gear change..thank you section 59 exhaust!!

IMG-20170314-WA0006.jpg  IMG-20170314-WA0009.jpg

Still need to find time to put the carbon dipped RS Ecu holder on, and have got something else on the way (***** of a job but should be good!)

Update time, few little mods accomplished! Excuse the dirty car, getting a wash tomorrow!

Didn't like the original wing badges that came with the ST, especially as they were chrome. Like the rest of the car, I've taken away that chrome and replaced the original badges with these blacked out more detailed badges that sit a big more prevolent towards the arch. Had to heat them up into position and bond them using Tiger Seal!

20170325_081405.thumb.jpg.3f4fe7ceb117aefc37ebfa7b9f7a54c5.jpg  20170325_084019.thumb.jpg.81a62897754cc424c151bf6c7b30ec25.jpg

They aren't finished yet, need to add a green ST vinyl overlay on to them so the pop a bit more with the calipers. I do like the extra detail they bring to the car, and never liked the chrome as going for the stealth look mainly!

Talking of stealth, I painted the original top grill of the car (behind the zunsport) to get rid of all that standard crappy Ford grey they come with. Looks alot better now and more menacing ;)

I also decided to take my badges off and paint the outer chrome rings black as well for more stealth enhancement!

Original                                                                                                                          Blacked out

20170327_140330.thumb.jpg.bd7938083b780fbfa58bfab2bfd49261.jpg                    20170327_172745.thumb.jpg.f8138bda303b3d71bc7779b9b359f7b1.jpg

20170327_172835.thumb.jpg.7ffcda2956814c833aee0e99b0350c39.jpg

Looks better all blacked out :D

I then added a cheap, but temporary sunstrip to add to the blacked effect as well.. all going on..

20170327_185144.thumb.jpg.20ee76ebf812a3ef1edf6988614421f3.jpg  20170327_185157.thumb.jpg.26151eb14bb5c733aed5280d96cdf197.jpg

Needing some bonnet vents now I think to make it alot more aggressive

After this then did some more engine bay parts.. again sorry it's not a clean engine bay either xD

Added the carbon dipped RS Ecu Holder. Few minor bits are rough but expected for a 2nd hand item. Might look at touching it up soon just so it looks smarter

20170327_161037.thumb.jpg.89eb49e9d164e585c144bbbd1e22ad14.jpg

I also purchased a slam panel kit ages ago that was carbon fibre hydro dipped. Just hadn't got round to fitting, as it required some cutting modification to fit as it's the RS Style kit. Looks a lot cooler the design of it, more curves and edges for that extra detail! 20170327_165253.thumb.jpg.22c5b414a25fb439195bc9500a69c2ff.jpg

20170327_165301.thumb.jpg.aac549cd72c3f93b37deba6dcbd2d46e.jpg

Just the slam panel fitted, but works well to compliment the carbon RS Ecu Holder

Also came with the end panel covers as well, as before on a standard car there would be nothing to cover the ends and it looked horrible! Now it looks alot more professional and bulked out

20170327_170904.thumb.jpg.7fd6b01d4be7c34bb62699dd4f0525cb.jpg#

20170327_185410.thumb.jpg.f6b6a6af78c9bf94b4438b9c894aa8fb.jpg

Starting to take shape now, just small modifications that make a significant difference..

Have also planned to collect an upgraded part within the next few days so watch for that, also expecting another upgraded component in the post!

Thanks for looking as per, lemme know what you think

It's best not to rush projects like this.

You'll just have to alternate between visual and performance 😉

Looking good so far,  Have you thought about getting a green RS vac pipe to tidy the engine bay up a little more?

Thanks for the positive comments, It's taking shape a little more now! It's on show at the Ford Meet @ Ace Café on Tuesday!

I have! They do look smart and do tidy up the engine bay, it's just the cost that puts me off. Just having to prioritise atm, got a heavy month coming up with the block mod at £585, and something else I'm picking up probably this Saturday!

Fair enough, I managed to get on offer just waiting for it now. I've just finished the big stuff so can spend on the little things now.  £585 is a great price for the block mod I got mine done a few months back at GI Motorsport cost me just over £700.

Yeah I saw that the deal took them down to about £30ish I think? Seemed a lot at over £50 originally..

That's what I thought, I spoke to someone directly at BD performance and they are having a new bigger unit built in Kent so only an hour away for me. Friend went to dreamscience in Hull but that's a 4-5 hour trip each way. The price is a 10% discount for having both mine and my friend's done so can't really complain, they've been more than helpful even with just advice. Look foreward to going down and meeting them in person

Update:

Made it to the Ford Monkey's Meet @ Ace Cafe and took some pictures of how she was looking and the convoy group as well :)

58ebdafa1f582_2017-04-0509_45_55.thumb.jpg.6f5aaa0a3c7cdd363395aa1ab42b2e28.jpg

After going to the meet I actually felt as if my car wasn't out of place, and was quite modified compared to some of the others around which was a + however I also felt that in some of the pictures the stealth effect does look a tad bland and doesn't stand out, I do still like the look but I decided to start adding some more green detailing for the theme to pick up

Have started on the interior;

Decided to paint the heater rings, the gear stick trim and a bit of the clusters to add a bit more green theming and customisation..

The car didn't look great without them in aha

20170408_123010.thumb.jpg.faa100ba0c0f8b6982c278ca5ccac342.jpg

Painted them in Plasti Dip - Blaze Green. Really happy with this, even if it is expensive

20170408_171135.thumb.jpg.eda345d0795b1d9da9e7a497e37c99ed.jpg  20170408_172034.thumb.jpg.6af7bf5b6afb0bf351efc26b7cf298a1.jpg

20170409_082840.thumb.jpg.7366d265b9ddf77bd7cbb29285b0fb70.jpg

I will get around to doing the main silver clusters as well... it's just a bigger job as you have to cit the glass and glue to get to them fml..

Also reset battery as had a few issues and i've never seen such huge miles from a tank of petrol.. it's normally about 220 :D

Also did a couple of exterior bits just as the green detailing on the new wing plates I put on;

20170408_190903.thumb.jpg.9eca4210c43d9cbfef197e776dc7f7f8.jpg

58ebde6076fd0_2017-04-0912_01_37.thumb.jpg.e047edf095c9bf66b40574a4239bed57.jpg

I'm planning on putting green inlays into the ST badges, and getting new gel badge overlays in green as well so it all works together. The white does look smart but I think now is the time to get the colour scheme to one colour rather than a mix of both on the exterior!

I've got more parts on order and more bits in the pipeline as per usual but I will reveal this one now as it's a work in progress

Managed to pick up a virtually brand new Airtec Stage 2 Intercooler for £200 which wasn't bad going! It's quite large to be honest think it will make a significant difference as the ST supposedly struggles on standard intercooler even on standard power.

It's black with red logo atm but that is soon to be changed as can be seen here;

IMG-20170401-WA0001.thumb.jpg.ce3ccd62d639478292c8f8cd40184046.jpg

I soon got to work, went for the top first, using a paint pen :)

20170401_140000.thumb.jpg.4eddaa050d4c3256a56932556422e47c.jpg  20170408_235022.thumb.jpg.e37e9a2365c3b2c649be2c0dc07699cb.jpg

20170408_234958.thumb.jpg.78217b8e5994558b566e159efaa0f7e1.jpg

Have the stencil ready for the airtec to go green as well just need to find some free time again! Look foreward to seeing how this looks on the car as well should look mean from the front!

Have an item coming Wednesday which will dramatically improve the looks I would have thought - I'll keep you posted!!

Looks good pal. Love the intercooler bits. I would have done the Speedo needles green and the silver glossary black; the bit you've just done green there.

Thanks man :) I will be doing some more of the interior dials etc, just need to find the time and bravery to cut the glass without scratching it - it's not an easy job!

Update :)

So carrying on with the green theme I decided to spice up the recaro leathers I have from the ST3. As comfortable as they are, they lacked a bit of colour imo. Had an idea, and was able to make it happen via the right person

Original look

20170411_193953.thumb.jpg.8f4e3df5e3484f6abc7b54d67cf25be5.jpg  20170411_193933.thumb.jpg.1f1d5792de2bc070b35e3faf14870945.jpg

Got these made up to add a bit of vibrancy and charisma :)

IMG-20170411-WA0003.thumb.jpeg.42b7d54b12be15ef7667e465618b0a7f.jpeg

After some prep work for maximum adhesion this is the result :)

Can't believe how well they have worked, the recesses in the seats were perfect for them and they've stuck so well. Got no worries about them at all atm.

Took these shots just cos why not.. ST Life

It's black with red logo atm but that is soon to be changed as can be seen here;

I soon got to work, went for the top first, using a paint pen :)

Have the stencil ready for the airtec to go green as well just need to find some free time again! Look foreward to seeing how this looks on the car as well should look mean from the front!

Have an item coming Wednesday which will dramatically improve the looks I would have thought - I'll keep you posted!!
