2004 Central Locking

Looking at a 'dirty' solution!!

No 1 fuse has been out since I bought the car (so no HRW or boot release).  If I put the fuse in I get the whirring at the drivers door.  Don't really care about central locking but need the HRW and the boot release is a nice to have.

So.  I want to disable central locking and was hoping not to take the door panel off again.  My solution.... cut the wire.  According to Haynes the drivers door is orange/black and passenger is orange/blue.  They look to then become orange/blue into the fuse box.  Dropped it out earlier and I can rind no orange/wire in amongst the cluster at all.

Any ideas?

i do not know exactly how high the cables are where they go from door post into door. can you easily get to the cables at the door post, like behind a panel to the right of the drivers right foot? that is probably where I would try to get at them if I wanted to avoid taking the door panel off. I am not familiar with  Ford Ka model.

I have an annoying central locking fault myself. Not the same as yours so I'll make another post but let us all know if you do find the solution..
