Power socket to live on ignition

Whenever putting in a piggy back, make sure you identify which end is the 12v bus bar, and put the common piggy terminal in that end.

The circuits (if any on your car) that F100 supplies must retain the 10A fuse. The power point normally has a 20A or 15A (Estate rear power point) fuse.

It would probably be better to piggy off F136 (Wipers) or F116 (Fog) if you need more than a couple of amps. This bus bar comes from the "ignition overload relay" circuit, and can supply more current (40A fuse) than the F100 bus, which is directly from the ignition switch, with only a 20A fuse for all the circuits on it.
