Cameron
Hi Guys, I am in a-bit of a problem. i've bought a car from a trade dealer. He wouldn't sell a car to non car trader, although the car needed money spending on it, i really liked the car and have told the dealer that i am in the trade. I've bought the car but i have been presented with a full v5/logbook and i don't know what to do with it and what part would i need to fill in to get the v5 in my name. Your help would be highly appreciated plz Thanks Cameron
trailertrash
Hi. Scroll down to 'Used vehicles' on this link: https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/new-and-used-vehicles Fill it in as though you were the seller, scribble any signature in his box and sign yours in the other. Retain the green slip and send the rest off
TomsFocus
Do it online... You only have to tick a box to say you're the 'seller' lol...

TomsFocus
Lol, it's the best way tbh. I get to spell my name right (something that's apparently impossible for anyone else) and the postal service and DVLA can't lose it! Plus you get the new V5 in 2 or 3 days usually, might be a bit longer at this time of year though. Just have to be careful that you make sure you're the seller lol, otherwise it doesn't let you do it.
