how to disable TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system)

Hi guys!

I own a Ford Fiesta from 2014 with 113.000 Km on board. Unfortunately, my original wheels took so much damage from the romanian roads that I had to buy new rims on which I didn't mount the pressure sensors.

Of course, this means that I now constantly get the "tyre malfunction" error. Is there a way to disable TPMS?

I was thinking to buy an OBD2 interface (http://elm327.ro/blue21) chip and then "somehow" I would disable this from some application.

Is this even possible? Did someone already try this? Any advice is much appreciated.

Go into the menu - Vehicle Settings - Tyre Monitoring - if there is no option to switch it off try a reset.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. There is no option to switch it off. If I reset it, it doesn't make any difference.

You may be able to using that adapter in your link and a programme called Forscan, you might hVe to register to get into the parameters.

Using FoCCus software you should be able to untick TPMS in the menu and save the config.
Make sure you save the asbuilt config before making changes though so you can revert if anything goes awry.
