Kuga Tailgate Seal

I need to re-install the main tail-gate seal around the rear frame following leak investigations.  The seal (which just pushes onto the frame) seems to have been installed at the factory using a cream coloured sealant/mastic that is still soft/sticky.

Can anyone advise what this sealant is or suggest a similar alternative product to ensure a watertight fitment of the tail-gate seal.

Cheers

Cheers Dezwez, That's what I may use but was trying to find out if anyone knew what Ford used on assembly.

Its not grease, its more like a thin non setting sticky putty. I would like to know the name of it too as i had my wifes old Punto seal off and wouldve liked to have added fresh stuff when i refitted it.
