No audio after battery died - mk3 tit x

Hi,

My battery died before a long journey on Monday. Managed to bump start it and it started OK again every time until we went to leave yesterday when it wouldn't start. Bought a new battery from Euro Car Parts but it was the wrong spec, even though it said it was suitable for our car. I needed to fit it to get home but the stereo wasn't working. Went back to get the correct one this morning, fitted it but it still won't work. Even checked the fuse for the audio system then the two for the infotainment display and they're both fine. Disconnected the new battery again but for about 20 minutes but still nothing.

Also don't have one-touch electric windows now either but they are working when keeping the button pressed down. Everything else electrical seems to be working fine.

Thanks

Great, thanks.

Nothing at all. Screen is just black but I'm getting sounds for the sensors and warnings

Nice one Ian. I tried that on my mondeo as the one touch up function wasn't working. It is now. Thanks again for posting that info.

Just if anyone has similar issues to me. A new screen has sorted the problem. Unfortunately it was screen was from a sync system, not the pre-sync, so I now have only the basic functions - no bluetooth or usb.

I don't know if I can reprogram the screen to work with the pre-sync or if a screen with a serial number beginning with B rather than A will never work properly with it and I need to buy an exact serial match.

Third option - buy a sync stereo module?
