Harni
Some good info coming up here so firstly, I haven’t checked the hex code as I did not know which line it needed to be on but now I have that info I will do chris, mine is a 04/16 model so would be the latter. I’d be interested to know what the differences are!!

Also, can't find the BCM module or BCMii is the same? As Focccus was unable to read te ECU i was putting my hopes in Forscan... Do you think that the problem is the ELM cable? Appreciate any help. Metalzone
With the several attempts i did with Focccus generated some DTCs , Forscan clear all but one, nothing litted in the pannel. I believe it is not possible to clear it, as it has to do with the Cruise Control switch, can anyone confirm that? DTC - Set of switches incompatible with the vehicle. I see now that it was a bad idea to put Forscan in Portuguese, should have let it in English, it would be easier for everyone else to read it... if that helps and someone knows how to change that, please tell me how to. Forscan did it. I was following instructions JW1982 to enable auto locking , thought this would be easy to a first time with Forscan, didn't get it done, yet. http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/97724-auto-locking-doors/ "Next go to the "Configuration" tab of the program (marked with a processor symbol). Now the program shows a list of different configuration options. Choose for CCC main and start the procudure to read the CCC. Now the CCC configuration can be edited. When finished simply press "Write" to load the modified configuration into the BCM." First i had a Forscan warning about low battery, then it was missing a vbf file in a specific folder. Only then i could reach to BCM Central Configuration. Double clicked in Cruise control below value, set to with cruise control, a few lines below there's the ASL option, did the same, et voilá Cruise control is activated. I will more than glad to help you in any detail i might have overloocked.

Lars G
At this point I would have sold the car and bought one with CC already installed. This is however an interesting thread. It reminds me of a guy I used to know who worked on quality control at Speke during the Ford Escort days. He bought a base model Escort and as it went down the production line all the range topping wiring looms were installed by his mates. Three weeks after delivery he had a top of the range car, most of the extra parts were of course smuggled out... and he installed them. Anyway, let's hope it all works out. Don't give up. Forscan'ı kullanmaya çalıştığımda bu hatayı yaşadım ve bu basitti, sadece bir klasör oluşturdum ve içine dosyayı kopyaladım. thank you for the answer. I could install other clusters using the Focccus program. I just ran into this cluster error and could not solve it. in this cluster; I have installed F1ET-14C025.BB.vbf. I could not load any other vbf.

I´m sorry not being any help, but, as Focccus didn't read my ECU, i didn't get much experience with it. All my research now is with ForScan. Anyway, people that Knows this stuff a lot better than me, way better, said that Focccus is not able to read MK3.5's ECU.

MattJakeT
I hate to bring up an old thread, but here I am doing it again. I have a 16plate, zetec s focus. 1L 125hp. What is the success rate for people doing this, as its the only thing I miss having. I don't have a windows laptop so if anyone in the reading/Berkshire area wants to make some quick dolla and help me out I would really appreciate it. thank you
ChrisCh
Success rate for petrol seems quite high, diesel not so much. I'm in Kent if you need cruise activated (after replacing your steering wheel with one with buttons).
Mark42
Just to say a big thanks to ChrisCh for helping me get my cruise control working on my Ford Focus 1L petrol. I had fitted a replacement steering wheel with buttons and my local Ford dealer had said they would do the programming. They couldn't do it (I guess Ford don't give them the software) and reported the steering wheel was "incompatible" with my car. Chris enabled the cruise and speed limiter options with his software in well under 5 minutes. Thanks again Chris.

Harni
Well I’ve given up on this now. Don’t think it’s possivle on a 1.5 until someone is able to access the PCM. Steering wheel is removed so if anyone wants a good condition (minus a small scuff on the right hand buttons silver trim) leather wheel from a mk3.5 with cruise for £50, let me know! Azz899
if you can get access to IDS you can do it, might be worth starting a database of members who for some beer tokens would be able to help people out (local of course)
Npsed2UK
I pick mine up on Thursday so would like to do this, surely it must be possible as Ford do it! If only it were that easy..

You buy the software and hardware as part of a bundle, for either €126 for the basic license, or the extended license for €212. I actually borrowed the laptop, software and OBD hardware this time. I am currently trying to buy the equipment myself so I can fiddle with some other settings, but it's a slow process! From my brief look at the software it is a cut above any of the free options out there and allows you to specify which car you are looking at (from the majority of the worldwide Ford range). Hi Chris, Sorry to bother, I'm getting a new (2018) Ford Focus 1.0 ST-Line 140 Ecoboost by the end of this month. Unforunately I couldn't get factory Cruise Control but have read this whole thread and you have made it sound pretty simple! I live in NW London, do you reckon if I manage to get a steering wheel that you'd be able to activate it for me? More than happy to give you some cash. Let me know...
