IRONMAN
Hi again, Thanks for all the recent help. Would anyone know if the pillar trims can be removed from the 2008 focus for painting. I tried vinyl wrap but it won't stick to the dimpled surface. Cheers
dezwez
Pull the rubbers away from them and they should clip out you may need to undo the seat belt bolts

Cheers On a mk25 focus you will first need to remove small rectangular plastic trim that says Airbag on it , which will reveal 2 phillips screws .undo these , pull away door rubber. Now you will need to undo torx sealtbelt bolt on bottom of c- pillar. Then slide belt out of trims slot. Btw if 3 door i have black St225 trims to sell . FatHead1979
The external ones are a pig to remove without snapping any of the 3 lugs that hold it in place, it also has factory applied adhesive to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. I'd say if you're going to remove them, be prepared to potentially have to replace them.
