Mk6 front springs

Hi, Newbie here.

My front spring disintegrated this week taking out my shock and front wheel. ( I was on the A50 so had to keep driving to a lay by!)

I'm having a hell of a job removing the pinch bolts from the lower arm and strut. I've searched the forum but I can't seem to find if these bolts tap out or have to be unscrewed. I managed to round off the torx head on the bottom arm and the nut on the bottom of the strut!

If they tap out does anyone have a good method of removing them?
