Obnoxious
Hey all, Just to do a front-end conversion to ST/Zectec S on a MK6 Fiesta, can I just replace the crashbar/reinforcement/cross-member and and attach the bumper (the screws/bolts and alignment look the same)? Are there are any other little things I need to worry about? Is the front slam panel the same between a ST and a regular facelift Fiesta? Thank you. Locomotive
You can just change the bumper and nothing else. Both the bumper, headlights and grille bolt straight to a normal Fiesta.
Obnoxious
Sweet! Thank you for your reply. I thought this too until I saw a parts list and a few diagrams saying I need extra parts. I believe I need a ST crashbar as I have the facelift Fiesta, which has a different towing eye cover and protruding hole. Not an issue though since I need to replace my existing one and have one ordered. 😄 Kind regards.
Locomotive
To be honest the tow-hook seems to be roughly in the same place on the facelift Fiesta as on the facelift ST (which has the bumper based on the pre-facelift model). You might want to try fitting the bumper first because the crash bar might not be needed. I have the pre-facelift model and bought an ST bumper (it has some problems and needs to be restored so it isn't on the car just yet) which actually fits without any modifications (the sides seem to have been rivetted but that's about it).
