Has anybody experienced their car stereo inexplicably turning itself on & off? My problem seemed to start when the weather turned decidedly frosty. I own a 2007 mk4 zetec mondeo 1.8 tdci. Any help would be greatly appreciated.2016-06-03 23.43.44.png

Hi Dez. There must be a logical reason for it. Taking the car into Fords will cost at least a limb!

Could it be a loose connection with a hidden loom or maybe a fuse on its way out?

Hah, you're right about that.  I had a 58 Titanium Focus with Sony branded stereo.  The AUX module would pop whenever I connected anything to it, Ford replaced it under warranty, it blew again, they replaced it again, and I never used it again after that.  Reason being Ford told me each Sony stereo cost £1000 (for a single CD player) and they wouldn't replace it again as it 'must be something you're doing'....

They have a tendency to build up condensation when cold.
