Seafarer77
i have a Zetec Ecosport Automatic (power shift) At slower speeds, such as proceeding from traffic lights, there is a definite "juddering" in the gear box especially when doing the child school drop off around the town. is a clutch / drive belt slipping ?? Ford garage can find no fault through computer link - not surprising ( no load and no slope ) any comment would be welcome
isetta
don't think they have drive belts. it has clutches and gearbox with cogs in, like a manual gearbox with the car changing gear for you . Not like the older (more reliable?) torque converter and automatic gearbox with bands in. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_PowerShift_transmission
iantt
most problems with this box has been oil seals leaking on to the clutch plates causing judder, clutch packs juddering without seals leaking, and transmission control module internal failure. oh and lots of tcm updates. apart from that ,its a good box. lol
