Mk 2 Non return valve

Featured Replies

So this is just a big thanks for this forum I have a mk2 and was getting frustrated with the washer jets leaking over the bonnet and leaving large trails, so after randomly reading threads on the forum i found a link to some none return valves on ebay.

So I figured what the hell give it ago. They arrived and I fitted them in around 15mins as I had to remove the padding on the bonnet . Since they have been fitted their have been no leaking washer jets and a nice clean bonnet.

Just incase people would like to order the valves

Hi, would these work on the mk3 focus?

Thanks

Don't see why not. It looks like a simple 'cut & play' device. Just cut the supply water tube to your nozzle, insert the valve, and reattach everything. As the OP said, should be a very simple installation job!

Thanks, im into car detailing so the washers dribbling all over the black bonnet is driving me nuts. Should i get the connectors as close to the nozzles as possible? Will the passenger side still dribble with the washer fluid as the fluid is able to flow back from the drivers side? Was thinking about letting the passenger side have its own feed then blocking it off then fit a t connector to this feeding the driver side, also with a one way valve

Thanks again

Hey buddy, I'm so in uncharted territory here LOL The only issue I ever had with washer nozzles was with my old Celica GT4, where I upgraded the spray pattern by installing the nozzles from a Volvo S60, a common upgrade at the time. The return valve you're looking at isn't expensive, so why not just experiment, see what works for you, and post your results back here? Good luck...

Fitted 3 non return valves in the window washer system. Seems to have done the job, you still get some spray on the bonnet when using the washers but im not getting the excess washer fluid coming out the jets after using them
