Dirty marks on my doors!

Hi All, a few weeks after getting my 14 plate from the dealer i noticed on the side of the door (the black bit not a painted bit) that there were white marks showing.

Its worst on the drivers door. Seems to me that it has come from peoples fingers. Clearly the dealer was able to mask this temporarily.

I tried some back to black but it hasn't helped. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to remove or at least mask it?

it can be grease from the hand or hand cream or make up. To clean it try eyes or face wet make up removal tissues. Do a little bit of a time but they should not be very harsh on that plastic. You can try some APC diluted at first 15:1 and after increase the dosage if it doesn't go away 10:1, 5:1, 1:1. The last resort will be changing the plastics.

Could just try rubbing it out (with rubber/eraser)? Might work on the finger prints as well as wax/polish stains, I've just tried it out on mine and it works a treat on the bits where I've got wax on the plastics by accident :) I found this solution on Youtube (see vids below)

Son's matt black pillar's was the same! He used pure washing up liquid and an old tooth-brush and gave the white marks a good going over, then washed the pillar's down, dried everything off and the marks was gone, the cleaning though left one pillar a different shade of black so he then rubbed in Auto Glym Bumper & Trim Gel and buffed up to a high shine and look lovely.
