E TEA 66
11 hours ago, Dagger said: How easy was this to do Very easy indeed mate as all you need is a 13mm socket or spanner to undo the nut holding the wiper arm on after you make sure the original wiper arm is right down in it's resting position which i then place a piece of tape on the glass parallel against the underside of the wiper blade so the top edge of the tape is where the new blade will sit giving you the same resting position for the new one .. I found that i had to have the old wiper arm lifted all the way away from the glass and waddle and pull in order for it to come loose so just stand slightly to the left so the arm is pointing over your right shoulder then you won't end up blinding yourself .. It took me around 7 minutes to do mine due to my old wiper arm being a little stuck but not all wiper arms are a bugger to release as i've found in the the past that some are really easy to come off and don't go using alot of brute force when pulling it off just gradually add the extra effort or you could find yourself with a few more parts loose than you want .. jmurray01
I like those new side repeaters! The orange lenses look fine on the original MK1s as they also have orange indicator lenses mounted to the lower front bumper, but on the facelift models the indicators are integral to the headlamp units so orange side repeaters look out of place. tazzman600
I have to say I quite like the look of your car E TEA. I'm not a fan of the mk3 to be honest. Never had one or drive one. But I did test drive an Escort RS turbo back in the 80's and it still sticks in my memory bank. What an effffing flying machine. Can't recall why I didn't buy it.I've had 2 mk3 focus's and have to say they're the best of the bunch ( my opinion ). But each to their own and I'd no idea the mk1 had leather. Very nice and the cars colour is best for that car.You enjoy it pal.

E TEA 66
I need to re-do my pics thanks to photobuckets new 3rd party hosting policy but on the good side of things I took my little Focus in for the dreaded MOT last Thursday morning which it passed yay! with a minor advisory on front tyre wear so yes i'm well pleased with it after all the jobs I've done on it since I got him in February 8) .. Anyway, don't need them on this forum since it accepts image files.

Didn't think of using image files on here tbh as I've not been able to do that on other club forums but now you've mentioned it I might just start doing that as it will be less time consuming than using a hosting site . E TEA 66
Well the Focus passed it's mot on the 14th August which was a relief and it had one advisory for excessive rust near the rear seatbelt mounts which I didn't check until the other week so after clearing the worst of the rust off the underside of the floor it was left looking a little perforated and the floor is rather flexible too so any how I checked out where the wheel arch meets the boot floor on both sides and it's just breaking up under finger pressure So any way knowing the rear ends of the sills are a bit suspect I took the car to a body repair shop for a check over and a quote to sort what's needed and after a thorough check the guy said a minimum of between £800-£900 so this car is now going to the scrap yard in the sky unless I can find another solution 😮
E TEA 66
Sadly my little Focus hatch was sold on due to expense of rust repairs how ever in October I became a new owner of this little Ghia 1.6 saloon , Since I got it I replaced the aerial . Replaced the head unit for the ST 6 disc version . And changed the wing repeaters . Fitted new muffler tip . Other items I have fitted are new Bosch Wiper Blades plus ignition barrel , bonnet lock and boot lock as they were a we bit worn to say the least .
E TEA 66
My Focus went in for the dreaded MOT today and thankfully passed with 5 advisories and 1 minor defect so fairly happy about that tbh 😊 .
