Removing the resonator box on the air filter

Ok going quite old school here but I'd quite like to try to see what happens if I remove the small resonator box on the side of the air filter box.

Not after any gains in performance, just a little more 'noise'.

Any ill effects to expect by doing this and will I need to add any extra hoses etc?

I guess I wont experience any unwelcome codes etc?

Thanks as usual

Pete

What car are you talking about?
I know the Focus MK3 has a resonator hose that mounts to the bottom of the airbox. It is totally possible to remove it, just seal the hole at the bottom. Or buy the Focus RS airbox which doesn't have the resonator and is a direct swap.

A K&N57s will give you more induction noise aswell.
