Can I get a little poll on what version your Ford Eco Mode is?

I've just recently had all of my modules updated again, and since then eco mode wants me to change into 6th gear at 45mph, and 4 at less than 30mph!

    Will look at mine when i get home. I ignore eco mode though.

     

    Its at 1.5 or 2 points for everything and car is still doing 55mpg.

    My eco mode is terrible, Would waste a ton of fuel if I changed when it said, its far too low a revs

    Typically go from about 60mpg to around 40mpg if I change at its suggestion

    Keep meaning to turn it off next time I connect Focccus

    What engine is this for?  My EcoBoost Fiesta is unhappy at 30 in 3rd!

    When you change up too early though, the car tries to compensate and dumps more fuel into the engine to stop is struggling. False economy, really.  It's far less economical to accelerate from a gear when it's just about ticking over, than it would be to do so from a lower gear with a little more revs.

    Mine's for the 1.5TDCi 120, and I hardly pay attention to it to be honest, certainly less attention so now I've had this update applied. Something isn't right in the algorithm. 

    As above, agreed. The revs are just too low. It however knows not to nag you going up hill though.
