bigal83
Just a thought, but I'm going to make some mods to my 1.6 ti vct focus. I was wondering whether a throttle body off a 1.8 or 2.0 would fit. That's assuming it is bigger than mine. I can get some piper 270 cams for the car but these will only give me 10 - 12 bhp. I already have an Angel Tuning remap so this may give me a bit more with the cams. Or shall I just fit a nos kit with 30 bhp jets?
JW1982
The stock 55 mm throttle body of the 1.8/2.0 Duratec HE engine has a different bolt pattern from the 45 mm stock throttle body of the 1.25/1.4/1.6 Duratec (including TI-VCT) engine. this means that the throttle body of the Duratec HE engine does not fit. There are no larger throttle bodies available for the 1.25/1.4/1.6 Duratec engine. If you want a larger throttle body for this engine it needs to be custom made. I did this on my previous Focus MK2 and it is definetely worth the money/effort.
bigal83
would it be possible to make an adaptor plate to suit?
