Stereo upgrade recommendations for focus mk2

Have set the correct time zone and it saves for a bit and then just goes back an hour. Also how do I get the backlight for the buttons to work, have gone thorough the menu and nothing seems to be ‘off’ - this is more annoying than the clock issue!

The time thing may indicate that there is something else in the device that is overriding your time zone setting, maybe it 'thinks' it is in a different location (an errant GPS setting?), and is automatically adjusting for that timezone?

Did the device ever work properly? As for the buttons, have you ever seen them lit up? Maybe some kind of 'daytime' mode is activated, and they only work in the dark, have you seen them work at night?

The above are all just guesswork, yes, I'm clever, but I'm no friggin' genius LOL There is a screenshot that was posted indicating there is a help forum for the brand of device you have, maybe worth posting there to see if someone can get back to you...

My partner looking for a replacement stereo for a mk2 focus. Current one is the Ford - 6000 CD - but it doesn't have blue tooth or aux.

Budget upto £300 ish.

Thank you.

a simple cheap idea could be to upgrade to another ford one off eBay. the change in quality and available vol levels is massive with the ford SONY dab head unit (much more powerful amp), but more fun on the additional stuff as needs another module and wiring....

a big screen android trash may be worth a try (but they don't last long and DAB is not built in), but would be better to go from experience, seeing and playing with one set up in another car... you can write anything in a description doesn't mean it does it

It does almost straight swap,

You will need the oval dash panel and two black plastic lollipop stick sized plastic strips which replace your existing ones to line up with the screws of the mk2.5 headunit.

All of the equipment is very much outdated these days though; personally I've gone fully aftermarket replacing headunit with pioneer and adding two JL Audio amps, reverse camera, tv tuner, 10" roof monitor, HDMI input for Netflix and changed all Speakers to JL C3 650's

Great for self isolating lunch breaks at work watching the tv

Thanks appreciate your help.. bought the car as a cheap run around but slowly feeling like I wanna upgrade a few bits on a budget to make it a nicer place to be lol..

i also wondered if the interior from a newer version would go straight into it something from the 2.5 maybe ??

thanks again

I've recently fitted an ST Recaro interior straight swap on any model 2005-2011 need a TX40 for the rear seat and TX50 for the front seats,

Both available individually in socket wrench form from Halfords

There a simple unbolt and refit, although  the set I purchased were fairly rusted as they were sitting on a garage floor for two years in an unfinished project, so I had to replace the rails with my own which are identical as saw in the guide but generally there all a straight swap no issues.

I've also chopped the dash with a dremel and fitted the ST pod,
