I personally never got why they put it slap bang in the middle of the grill on the pre-facelift. Looked much better bellow. Below it blocked air flow to the intercooler and I couldn’t have it on the bonnet or side of the bumper as I got stopped by the police so had to change back lol

D13 HPD 95
Couple more additions over the weekend :) 5 out of 8 summit racing strut braces are on, also fitted the boomba stage 2 gear box mount and steeda anti roll bar drop links :) have 2 more braces left to fit which will make 7 out of the 8 available but sadly due to my air ride and meth in the boot the last rear upper brace won’t fit so I won’t be fitting that one. Also got my miltek 200cell sports cat and full polyobush kit today so they will get fitted next week with a fresh oil change, 5w40 Castro’s edge new filter and steeda magnetic oil sump plug :) some new spark coils as well and few other maintenance parts to keep her running smoothly :) have to say the new gearbox mount, braces and drop links have made a huge difference round corners cannot wait to finish this project now it’s getting close :) the list is getting ever smaller! latest photo of her

Jonro2009
Can’t say I’m not disappointed that we won’t see those tail pipes going on. All good things must come to an end but exciting times getting your own house with SWMBO! She’s put up with your love affair with the car so she’s defo a Keeper! Good luck with the house hunting, and with getting your hands on an RS in the future. As a final bit of love for the car, and if you can spare £3, why not finish it off with one of these..... 2

zain611
It's sad to see the project stop but it's the right thing to do if your saving for a house. Remember a house increases in value whereas a car depreciates. It's not easy for us car guys and I know from the stories my mum has told me about my dad. When my parents were looking for a house to move out from their flat (20 years back) my dad was crying to get a mk2 golf GTI . I think he did get it but after getting the house. He managed to get it featured on a magazine. My dad told me he was selling the car and someone called saying about featuring it on the mag.
D13 HPD 95
I’m gutted not to finish the project off but I think this is a great ending point for the car and myself :) it looks amazing gets so many looks, still goes like train and I do love it :) so I’ll settle for keeping her as she is for a house and a possible RS :)
