Sync 2 - bluetooth music, track/artist

Whenever using any of my normal music apps on my phone, Sync 2 in my Focus (2015 titanium x) has managed to show the track and artist, which is very handy. This even includes radio apps, when the app provides the info.

A few weeks ago though, the bluetooth disconnected and forgot my phone. I set it back up, but after that, it always just says 'unknown' for both artist and track when I play music via bluetooth.

I've 'forgotten' and reconnected several times to try to fix this, and over the weekend I even updated sync 2 to the latest version to see if this would make a difference, but it still says unknown.

Very annoying - any ideas how to fix this so it shows the artist and track again?

I would check in the bluetooth settings on the phone, and make sure all the media things are turned on, then I would manually clear the pairing on the unit and the phone and try again.

Problem is with the phone not sending the tags, and not Sync.

If ya have an Android phone deselect and select the use for options on your phone  in phone bluetooth settings, this may help.  As Andy said the problem is probably with the phone. There is an app called autoaudio which may help also and it can be downloaded from the Android play store.

I did indeed go into the bluetooth settings and my screen shows exactly what the screenshot above shows - SYNC has access to everything. :( I've also disconnected and reconnected several times (forgetting both on the phone and on SYNC first).

I'll try this autoaudio app to see if that makes a difference - thanks!

Sorry to here, that app is hit and miss going by reviews.  Try a different phone with your sync head unit and see what happens.
