PhilS404
So after owning my Fiesta for 2 1/2 years and doing multiple modifications I thought I better start a build thread on a Ford forum. I previously had a thread on the Mightycarmods forum but they had a system crash so that's gone. Anyway here goes. I picked up my 2011 Fiesta Metal in panther Black back in July 2014 :O It had 13000 miles and here are some pictures of the day I got it. Also some pics of my old MK6.5 Style 1.
PhilS404
First wash
PhilS404
Next up some DMB Gel overlays and wind deflectors
PhilS404
Now I set about removing the headlights, I'm really not a fan of chrome so wanted some with black internals. These were on eBay so I snapped them up
PhilS404
Also fitted some interior footwell LED Sunglasses holder- which was an absolute hell job. I think it was about 30C, it wouldn't fit properly, fibreglass everywhere. Awful. Just awful. Next up I replaced the front grill with an Asian grill along with a Mountune short shifter which came in some interesting packaging. The short shifter is a really good modification! One of my favourites
PhilS404
Next up was detango the lights I also sprayed the interior handles black, not the best finish Also some eyebrows from TRC Colour coded mist washers next Before: After: Car was also lowered on some H&R 35mm springs
PhilS404
Mountune boot mat Full milltek exhaust system: 4-1 manifold, decat and catback. I was never happy with the tips as they did not sit very well with the diffuser Also picked up a gloss black asian grill Mountune floor mats and some TRC side skirt extensions (it took me 2 years to get round to fitting those XD) McGuard wheels nuts Mountune spoiler extensions arrived! Now discontinued :( Gloss black upper grill and bonnet lip Before: After: Armster armrest installed
PhilS404
Next up I fitted a Mountune catback and MR155 diffuser (also discontinued) Looks so so much better than before, and I was very lucky to find one. Also a nice polish to rid of some swirls Had the mountune extensions painted panther black

PhilS404
New wheels! Team dynamic pro race 3 in gloss Anthracite. I was torn between gloss black and anthracite but deffo made the right choice. Excuse the filthy car
PhilS404
Finally! Car in for supercharger fitting and tuning at OC Motorsport, along with coilovers! Coilovers! Quite low! I also dewipered the car and just fitted a bung to fill the gap.

Jonro2009
That looks quick! Lovely note from the exhaust too, almost like a touring car but better [emoji6] really nice job you are doing there. I'm not a huge fan of the silver bits on the Asian grill but it certainly doesn't ruin it. Bet it handles well on those coilovers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
PhilS404
Thanks mate. Yeah me neither, they will be getting done gloss anthracite like the wheels at some point. As will the fog covers just need to find the time.
PhilS404
Right time for some colour coding. Painted my front calipers yellow And I also fitted the ST180 rear beam, along with HEL braided lines. Also needed the ST handbrake cable. All in all it was about £200 including beam, braided lines, handbrake cable and delivery from London! Bargain! And of course painted them yellow too

I'm guessing you used a brush to do them (as oppose to spray paint) based on the minimal covering tape used? Did you just paint straight onto the caliper or was there any preparation before hand other than washing them?

I just used a toothbrush with water, then a steam cleaner to remove as much grime as possible. Then used some degreaser to rub down the calipers, and then painted them. I bought the paint from a company called brakecaliperspecialists.uk and it comes as a kit kinda thing.
