Fitting Focus heater knobs on Fiesta

Hi, I got some Focus MK2 "upgraded" heater knobs, and I saw some pics on Instagram where someone managed to install them onto the MK6 Fiesta saying it required "minor modifications", but these new knobs have the internal flat part on the left side, while the original ones have the flat part below!

Anyone has any advice about how to do it? Thanks!

Could you not re-grind a new flat edge on the steel part ? you'd have to use a Dremel type tool with a small carbon disc fitted to cut the edge.

The metal axle is too much "inside", I would prefer to modify the new knobs!

I am wondering, maybe some "other car" knobs would fit more easily?

Did you find a solution? I’m looking at doing the same but all options seem to be for Focus
