Fiesta 2004 1.4 16v Engine Noise

So got a tap / rattle that appears to be coming from the cam belt side of the engine. Most audible at 2000rpm. Also engine drives fine.

The engine management is due to O2 Sensor before Cat.

Any help, advice or diagnosis welcome at this point.

Hi got similar if not same problem.Firstly i thought its valve lifters.Checked them few days ago they seemed to be within norm.I listen every day to this sound as it is annoying .I have done video of mine noise today.Did u have this issue always or it gradualy got worst

Haven't noticed it getting worse, i feel like it might be the water pump or a tensioner bearing. It's quite a dry tap which quietens with heat.
