Crash2000 Posted May 22, 2017 Share Posted May 22, 2017 Hi All, I have a 58 S-Max 1.8 TDi that has an intermittent starting problem. If the engine is cold - Starts Fine If the Engine is hot - starts fine. But if you make a journey and then stop the car. Then leave it stopped for about half an hour, when you try and start it, the engine will turn over but will not fire. Then if you leave it for a further 15 or 20 minutes, it will turn over and eventually start. This is so regular, I can do it to order! Imagine this, after a hard days work, you decide to pop in your local for Shandy. If you have one and leave, it will not start! If you decide to stay for a second shandy, after the second one, it starts fine! Anyone got any ideas? No error codes even when it wont start!
