sween85 Posted May 22, 2017 Share Posted May 22, 2017 Hi i have a ford focus 2009 1.8 tdci, a few weeks a go i noticed there was a bang/clunk when i changed gear either when i change gear or let clutch up, the slower i do it the quieter it is it also does it when you put throttle on quick and the engine moves quite alot, ive had the lower mount and gearbox mount replaced bit its still there, shud i replace the drivers side mount aswell? any help wud be much appreciated thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gizza11 Posted May 27, 2017 Share Posted May 27, 2017 As you say its probably the mount you haven't changed if you can with the hand break on and in first gear get some one to look at the engine while you lift of the clutch some times if the mounts are no good they will see the engine lift a bit from the bad mount side .Doesn't always work but worth a try Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
