Oddly, it's not the possibility of a dead engine in bits where it has exploded that'd worry me the most... It's the fact that I'd have to rely on Ford's customer disservice! That's enough to make me suicidal at best and murderous at worst.

I wonder if we get a timing belt change out of this

It's Ford. The answer is almost certainly "no".

Lol. In Fords own manuals it says to install a new component, dont know how they would get out of it

Ford eTIS. I looked at the timing belt instructions which I would guess they will use as the belt would probably need to come off

EDIT: So they are replacing the belt. Charity hasn't escaped the crooks entirely!

I do love the little dribbles of information you can give us haha! This is good news then!

Can we get access to the TSB through the etis system if we cough up the required access cost?

Better a dribble than nothing. My hands are tied. Not sure on tsb access via paying. Maybe.

Any information is appreciated, no matter how little :)

Got mine booked on Friday, I'll let you all know how it goes if I'm first to get it done!

Agreed! I'll be getting mine done tomorrow along with my potential slave/dmf failure and a new head unit.

That's exactly why I paid for access and I couldn't find anything. Will have a look again later tonight.

Iantt - do you work for Ford then?

I see march 2015 affected but not May 2015 yet.  Any idea how far reaching the re call is?

Seems just early 2015 are affected so far. Mine built in September not listed as affected. Do Ford stagger the recalls based on build date so the dealers aren't overwhelmed? Or would they all be done at once?

Just had a call from the dealer to say they're gonna have to delay it as they need to order more of the parts in.

Unexpected demand apparently.

Well had it done. Involves the drivers side wheel coming off and quite a lengthy list of components including the cam belt.

Unfortunately I never managed to get the back page off the job sheet.

I thought they do it as if it was a timing belt change,  looks like I was wrong
