zagobir
alloys have taken a back seat for a while - they're still sitting in the garage [emoji102]This afternoon though, this happened... Been trying to decide on a stereo for a few months now but have since done my tints and of course bought the alloys so decided to save a bit of money for now with regards to audio. My mum kindly gave me her Parrot Kit (MKi9200) that she had removed before she sold her Focus, and so I just had to pay labour to get it fitted [emoji322][emoji323] I'll get some proper pictures tomorrow - the full kit includes a small screen, microphone, AUX and USB line-in and a little remote. This allows me to sync up my contacts to make hands free phone calls as well as stream music, all controlled without touching my phone. There are some additional features such as the ability to read e-books but who's interested in that? Went for a drive to see what it feels like to listen to something other than the same 2 CDs over and over again [emoji88] (or the sketchy radio) and I found a 55 plate buddy! [emoji16][emoji16]Mine was embarrassingly filthy in comparison to theirs though so next on the cards is a good wash! Jonro2009
Yours is different to the other 55 plate, looks like yours is on of the early facelift models? Really need to get that brake light done and debadged too.My mods have taken a back seat now ☹️ due to a very expensive visit to the dentist. My wallet is lighter to the tune of £200 and that's just the beginning apparently. That gear knob looks a bit different....Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

zagobir
Pictures as promised! Here's a closer look at the screen:Not sure about where it is at the moment but it is detachable so I can hide it away in the glove or whatever, as long as I'm happy not knowing what song I'm listening to or who's giving me a ring!Microphone for voice commands and calls:AUX and USB connections nicely hidden under the main unit:I much prefer this to where my mum's where wired to... In the glove compartment! Was always strange for 5'10" me to have the glove door laid on my lap and my hands fumbling inside the glove box to control the music [emoji23]Lastly, the remote:Again, can be moved as it's just stuck on with some 3M tape. Parrot did actually include some kind of band which allows you to strap the remote to your steering wheel but I don't fancy it there. So far I think this is a good bit of kit and a good work around for someone that doesn't want to change their whole radio unit for whatever reason. As far as I know, their is pre-facelift Zetec hence the smaller grille and different lights and fogs. Ahhh, trips to the dentist can be a killer! Just get them all pulled out and jobs a good'un! [emoji12]Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk You believe right, I think it was 2006 it all started to change to you shape of the front end. It's going to cost me the thick end of £200 apparently so now I'm thinking of giving the window chrome wrapping a go myself. Just need to figure out how much I need, then go crazy with a squeegee. As far as the dentist goes, I've done the hard work for him. I filed the tooth down myself cos it was sharp lolSent from my iPad using Tapatalk

yunii
Please explain more about the auto dimming mirror... Thanks Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk Basically when a bright light hits a small sensor on the mirror , the mirror goes dark which stops dazzling you. Currently you have a little lever which you pull or push & mirror dips so you dont get dazzled. As for the mirror their are 3 wires 1. Reverse = which you feed to reverse light( not needed as you can switch off . 2. Earth = need feed to earth 3. 12v ign = need to get feed to dim lights. I think orange & yellow not sure. You need to ensure that if you buy one that it comes with 3 wire multi plug that plugs in back of mirror & it of wire to extend onto to the lighs switch. Otherwise will need to make loom. In order to do this you need to remove your stock mirror but not the metal base (Do not remove) as thats needed for autodim mirror to slide onto . Their are 2 prongs from below which you push down with flat screwdriver but at same time push mirror upwards to remove. yunii
Moving away from rearview mirror i have this if your interested. Iso connector for one shot lowering drivers electric window & with blue led convertion. Includes passenger side window switch. Its just matter of pushing conector pins into the loom connector. I'm sure i have diagram how to what pins to connect to.may have to tape it to keep hold as loom is tight squeeze once covers go back on. Btw this was my mk6 zetec climate. Yunii Now i have this in place of mk6 . Mk7 Titanium Tdci. As well as the mighty Focus Titanium-S . zagobir
[mention] yunii [/mention] Oh wow, didn't even realise mirrors like that were available! I never even use that lever on my rear view mirror - haven't yet felt the need. Did/do you find that the auto dimming mirror comes in handy? Also did you not get my mail? My Mk6.5 already has those switches for the window - both driver side including one touch, and passengers side. Thanks anyway [emoji4] Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk

yunii
Guess who discovered a slow leak!? Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk Ah, I've never actually experienced this problem before so just assumed it was a puncture. So there could be a gap or something between the rim and tyre? So there could be a gap or something between the rim and tyre? Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk When tyre fitters fit tyre on a rim they paste like glue or something that seals air from leaking .once tyre is on they dip in water tank to look for bubbles. Which would mean leaking air if bubbles appear.Over time they tend to leak air especially when rims are old & paint flaking.YuniiSent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
zagobir
This evening's little project - yes,@jonro2009 I wrapped the fogs and high level brake lamp! A couple of my friends caught me in the act and so obviously I stopped for a chit chat [emoji12] hence the huge variations in the sky colour. The fly eye didn't take to the front fog lights too well, not sure why, so will probably end up doing them again soon! Also, after all my hard work I realised that my rear fogs don't even come on! [emoji23] Unless there's a switch I've missed somewhere, which is highly likely! Anyway, pics... Fiesta1.25
Nice it’s made a huge difference tinting your ‘reflectors’ the two lights (that I have pointed to are your fog lights, the two round ones inserted in your bumpers are just reflectors [emoji4]

Ahh thanks, learn something new everyday! I did notice the fog lights (where your arrows are) come on when I turned the switch - although I only just noticed today as I haven't used my fogs since owning a Fiesta. Always assumed the reflectors however, were in fact fog lights as they mirror the ones in the front bumper!
