zagobir
It happens all the time.Few months ago had my front bumper sprayed as somone clipped it whilst turning .obviously he paid for it .I'm in middle of few jobs atmo .Doing a rear drums to discs & bigger front discs. Also had new tyres & need to respray my alloys. Which i'll get done pretty soon.Yunii Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk Same happened to me but overnight. Of course, no note or anything. Just nice blue paint streaks along one of my wings [emoji35]It's good that you knew the offender and they were willing to put things right [emoji1417]You do sound very busy with your car!! zagobir
suprizing what you can find in a scrap yard can pick up some right gems for not a lot of money. the fez is looking goodYes I got that and a rubber boot seal (my boot rattles/shakes and thought doubling up on the seal might help 🤷🏽♀️) for a fiver. Can't complain! Thanks [emoji16] much appreciated Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk
zagobir
What happened to the other door strip? I think I just wait till I can get those bits sprayed rather than wrapping mine in that time. The door strips and mirror covers are slightly textured so I'm sure you apply a plastic filler primer to that before doing any painting on that to get a smooth finish. I bought it snapped. Only just got round to replacing it [emoji87] Yeah I would definitely recommend primer! Started on my front grilles and fog surrounds this afternoon. The primer is setting as we speak and the black will go on after 24hrs Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk

zagobir
Took advantage of the sun this afternoon and got my faded plastics finished! I'm happy with the results but feel like they could be blacker - I didn't quite get the jet black look I was hoping for! Definitely a big improvement from how they were originally though [emoji1417]A naked looking BB after taking the plastics offStarted with a few coats of primerLayered up the matt blackFinished off with a matt lacquerBelow is the finished result! wilto
Fair play to you, you've done an excellent job of spraying them, car is looking really stealthy, nice.
b4zz
looks like you have done a tidy job on the plastics fair play to you. im not a fan of the black on black look myself but your fiesta is looking good.
zain611
Are those bits textured? They did come out well and I also noticed one of the clips are broken on the grill which is annoying as mine are broken aswell on the same side. It does tempt me to colour the front plastic bits on my car but then I worry those bits might blend into the black paint and I might not see the full detail of the car

Did a rush job on the top grille last year sometime and the paint was already deteriorating so I did a proper job this time!My dad asked me that too and I said it wasn't as it's always fitted fine, but now that I look at the pictures closely, I can see that you're right [emoji35] Never noticed! The paint I used wasn't as jet black as I expected so goes nicely with the car and isn't an overpowering black in my opinion. Depends on the paint you get I suppose Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk

zagobir
!! LONG POST - Picture Heavy!! This is a big week for BB! Went for a pressure test to put a stop to my disappearing coolant issue once and for all. Had a new expansion tank fitted today as the worn tread on mine meant that the lid didn't screw down properly and coolant was just evaporating out of the top. Looks great in the engine bay but made me realise how much everything else needs a clean lol. Got round to painting my calipers afterwards which I'd been putting of for a while. Here's one side. Wheel off: All cleaned and ready for painting: Cracked open the Hammerite: Painted: Finished look: Really pleased with this afternoon's little project and glad that it looks as subtle as I was hoping! Also picked up another front bumper as a quick, easy-ish fix for the previous owners poor painting skills, a scrape from a blue vehicle and the really poor fit. I sweated and literally bled trying to fit it last weekend but some of the bolts/screws are mashed and some are in really awkward places that I just couldn't get to. Tomorrow, a real mechanic will be taking over and will hopefully be able to do the swap without much hassle. It's in much better condition paintwork wise, just praying all the fittings are in tact! Looking forward to a fresher front end. Pictures to follow, as usual [emoji6] Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk
zain611
That's a good job on the calipers 👍 and can definitely see the old bumper looks faded in colour. Remember to swap the painted plastic trims over from the old bumper to the new one. I also noticed there is a slit on your tire so do be careful as you don't want to get a slow puncture. I'm going to be selling my calipers soon as I've upgraded mine to ST ones. Also painted them gloss black.

The new ones are painted also by the previous owner but will still swap my bits over [emoji5]Yes I noticed the tyre too [emoji35] will need to get it changed ASAP! One thing after another with this car lol. That's really nice Zain. Any difference in the breaks? Not familiar with the ST ones at all. Thinking of doing my rear drums black as I think gold will be too much! Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk
b4zz
great job on the calipers and when they are painted it makes a heck of a difference. that other bumper will make a big difference to the front end of your car as you can see in the pics how bad the one on the car is

Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk The breaking is noticeably better when you brake hard and that's good incase you have to brake in an emergency. At the moment I'm going to install rear disc breaks from an ST. At the moment I might just paint the calipers black for that subtle look.
zagobir
A quick before and after comparison of the front end! Not the best photo but the new bumper definitely does make a difference in person! Pictures of my car from Fiesta in The Park at the weekend will be going up once I get home this evening. Was such a good event and I left with that "first show" buzz. Was nice to finally put owner's faces to the cars I've seen on the forum, Instagram, Facebook etc. Sometimes you forget that there's a human behind the creation!
Jonro2009
You can see a massive difference, there isn’t no horrible faded grey behind the lower grill. Plus it’s not snowing lol. It’s looking really good i spent 3 hours cleaning and sealing my wheels yesterday, very satisfying feeling lol. Wrapped my fog lights in dark smoked film as I never use them anyway, makes big difference. I need to cover the high level brake light and pluck up the courage to wrap the rear lights too.
