STJAY
After flying through your whole post today, you've really transformed that little car, it's very pretty. The wheels look great, and to be honest don't really need the center caps to look good, although it may make them look better if you do get them, suppose you'd have to see to know. That pic of it sitting under that tree with the orange leaves was class, very very nice. That wee car is a credit to you, very well done, plus that trophy was awesome 😄 J

Also kudos to you for taking the time to go through everything - this is quite a long thread! Lol My alloys definitely need work but 5 years driving and still kerbing wheels when pulling up at the road side... I don't trust myself with anything else at the mo [emoji23] I quite like the exposed wheel nut look, much to people's dismay. I really need some coloured tuner nuts and I'll be happy [emoji16] bought some wheel nut covers in gold but they were too small [emoji2374] That was a good photo day lol. Found loads of nice spots venturing into Surrey. zagobir
Completed today - Fiesta ZS seat swap! Picked these seats up earlier on in the week and finally got the swap completed today. My (wo)manpower let me down a lot here so unfortunately had to do this over a couple of days [emoji853] My perseverance was so worth it though as I'm loving the new look and added comfort too! I now have the airbag dashboard light showing however... But alas, they are in! Lol The seats in question! Got my gem of a friend who now owns his own detailing business to come down and give them a good seeing to before I even attempted to fit them. The results were great [emoji92] Didn't realise quite how grubby they were until they were clean haha! Before - factory seats During - was really surprised as to how much space I actually have in here! [emoji23] Considered only having a drivers seats for about... 45 seconds (because racecar [emoji57]) and started getting to work on putting the ZS ones in lol Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk After! Even did a little victory pose once I had finished the job [emoji23] Now just to sort out what I've done with my airbags and then I'll be able to smile properly, with teeth!

Yeah I hear yah, I would keep them the same, exposed and as you say, get tuner nuts, I'll throw in a pic below and show you what I found, I've noticed you like the black and gold theme lol. Good photo days are definitely the best, I got a mate of mine to bust the camera out the day after I got mine, got some good ones. Once I finally get enough done to it to start a thread I'll be posting them, I've found a few places myself, unfortunately needs me to be parked on a road to get them, so I would need to be ballsy and quick to get the photo taken . I will 100% be sticking round to see how you get on, seen the seats and they look awesome, they must of been difficult to find, and a cheeky proud selfie, you're just right lol. Well glad it was entertaining for you to read [emoji5]Definitely need to have a proper look for some. Struggled with the measurements first off, and some I've seen are almost £80 for a set [emoji88][emoji88][emoji88] I like the ones you've posted though - go with my theme quite nicely!Let me know when your thread is up and I can have a gander at the pics [emoji5] I know what you mean there - being in London, a lot of the places I want pics are on a red route. Double red lines and no stopping/parking at anytime! I'm sure you'll get the shots. Maybe go at night and take a friend...The seats are so much nicer for long drives! Not difficult but just time consuming finding them in good conditions, no rips/tears, reasonably priced and not from Scotland or Plymouth [emoji23] Got there in the end! zain611
@zagobir must be a big difference with those seats. I'd say also thats a good choice getting the part leathers. As you sit on the cloth part you won't have to worry about those really hot or cold days like full leather seats which take in the temperature. The side bolsters must be good too. Personally with my part leathers I don't really notice the bolsters but thats most likely because I'm not a wide person 😂.

Sent from my BLA-L09 using Tapatalk Well those nuts are from rotashop.com only £33 or so. Give them a call and ask about fitting, the guys are real nice, I needed to order a single Rota Grid from them, as I had buckled one on a pothole and I had it the next day. I'm thinking of getting a red set to go with the grey ST wheels, make them stand out a bit. That I will, I haven't done much to the car to be honest, MK8 stubby aerial, engine bay and tailgate screw and washer dress up kit and LED reverse lights So it may be a while before there's one up lol. It would be awesome to get a shot in the centre of London with the illuminated signs up, that would be mint, but as you say not possible at all lol. I'm sure they are, plus if you're throwing the car round a country road I'm sure they hold you so much better too. Did you manage to get the air bag light sorted out? Still worth documenting imo [emoji5]I agree, but not worth the ticket you'll no doubt get in the post a few days later hahaI haven't actually been on a proper drive since, but I can already tell they won't disappoint! Well that's it, its all in the details you're right. I maybe will then, maybe get some more pics first and start one up Although one of my reverse lights has already died so I need to send CEUK photos to prove it and stuff, pain the butt like. Haha yeah I hear yah, plus when would it ever be empty enough to get a good enough shot Haha well that's half the battle then, when you just know they'll be awesome lol. Ahhh that's annoying, did the old seats have airbags in? Do the new ones? Might just be a case of needing to solder a strong enough resister onto a set of wires into the matching plug, when the control unit senses the resistance, you'll trick it into thinking the circuit is complete which will knock the light off for you, or at least will just need reset. If the new seats have airbags then it should just be a case of wiring up the seats to the loom. An auto spark should be able to sort it out in no time. Anymore plans for the wee car?
zagobir
Fruits of last weekend's labour! Had these under wraps for a little while as I had my trusty right hand man on the job (wanted them finished before sharing), but excited to finally show off my custom headlights [emoji92] This is probably the first aesthetic mod that I haven't done completely on my own. Was nice to have the creative input of someone that I trust (as well as them doing all the legwork lol) and was equally as exciting to have progress updates along the way, right up until delivery! This must be what it's like to have your car in the body shop or alloys in for a refurb or something [emoji23] Work in progress: Finished and ready for fitting: All done: Also trialled some eyebrows which were consequently removed with immediate effect lol: Need to rework this as I like the look but the finish was not as expected [emoji853] So there you have it. New headlights in a gloss black with metallic gold rings and a de-tangoed indicator with a glitter accent. Thoughts/opinions/feedback all welcome! Jonro2009
Looking good, certainly unique. I’d like to have the confidence to heat my lights and open them up but that isn’t going to happen, I burn cereal lol. was it expensive to get done? If you’d rather not say then don’t worry. I’m not really seeing the ‘glitter’ but the camera never really does these things justice.
zain611
To be honest it looks good. The gold doesn't stand out too much which I'd say is good in headlights. Also good that you detangoed the indicators when you had the opportunity. Its hard to tell but did you fit chrome bulbs in? I'd be scared myself opening up my headlights 😂. Need to give mine a good polish to remove the hazing. Also did you wrap the right mirror cover in gold?
