Here's a new one!

I lent on my keys which were in my front pocket of my jeans while gardening and all the windows of my Edge opened at the same time!

How did that happen?

Double press unlock, hold on the second press, opens all windows. Doing the same with lock closes all windows. Think it's called global open/close.

It's not new! It's all explained in the manual ... I presume you have read the manual ?

You will be surprised at the range on your key. It's a common thing for this to happen, especially at work when you sit down. It's a definite security risk as it doesn't have to be the second press, it will do it in first press too. Might be best to turn off global opening, still won't stop it unlocking though but as long as you have 'auto relock' enabled you minimise the risk

Exactly, problem is my Edge doesn't have "auto relock" & Ford don't seem to give a toss as apparently it wasn't fitted/enabled on "early" Edge models FFS it's the best part of a £40k car 😡

All they have to do is recode 2 lines, one in the BCM and one in the IPC. If you have Forscan or know someone who does then it's a 2 minute job. Dealers hate messing with it but it's not difficult.
