Vvomble
Hi I'm thinking of buying a Ford focus mk2 1.6 tdci zetec climate It has the following fault codes showing (as pictured) It's running slow and turbo is not currently boosting. Can anyone tell me what would need changing to fix the issues if I were to buy the car so I can price up the parts. Massive thanks in advance
Stoney871
Simple answer- Don't buy.The DPF is junked and will cost big to replace. You're better off looking for a 1.8 of the same year instead. No DPF and a bombproof engine.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Vvomble
Is it just the dpf? I can deal with that. It's not for me it's my lass the price is very cheap the car's immaculate and it's only got 56k on the clock

Stoney871
Walk away. You'd be a mug buying a car with faults. It's cheap because it knackered.A DPF is about £200 then add fitting and the likelyhood of further problems and the bill will go sky high.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Stoney871
Just to add that some of the codes refer to a knackered alternator and others to the fuel system so tbh it sounds like a right pup.Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
isetta
these can be brilliant engines when they don't go wrong. but they can be a nightmare when they do go wrong. and a lot of people do have problems with them. I would be very cautious, you could be entering a bottomless pit of money spending and continual problems.
